There's few smells more feminine and soft than the scent of Rose; however, true geranium essential oil comes close. Often dubbed as the "poor man's rose," geranium certainly does not lack in aroma or power. In fact, geranium has come to be one of my favorite staples. Of course, it smells wonderful and has the added bonus of reminding me of childhood visits to an English tea shop in Florida, but geranium oil is so much more than just a pleasant floral scent.

Soothing hand salve recipe
The ancient Egyptians used geranium oil in their skincare - and for good reason! This oil supports healthy, glowing skin. It reduces the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, and blemishes.
I have made so many many batches of this salve. It's super thick and is exactly what my hands need during cold weather or after an intense dish-washing session. Plus, it smells heavenly.
What you will need:
•1/4 cup raw Shea butter
•5-10 drops geranium oil
Melt the Shea butter in a double boiler. Add in the geranium oil and stir. Pour into your tin and let it cool. It will harden and solidify as it cools.
I used ten drops because I know my hands need extra loving. Start with less drops and increase as necessary.
